After I did some research, here are some basic explanations of the extension files:
- mailhost file - used by the Microsoft MSN Explorer program that integrates several features of MSN and Windows Live, such as Windows Live Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger.
- WPS file extension - Microsoft Works save file specific to certain versions of the Works Word Processor. It will use up less disk space and smaller memory, plus compatible with older computers and accessible without proper system required to run standalone versions of the applications that the Works Suite used.
- dbf - most commonly associated with dBase, a database creation and management tool from dataBased Intelligence, Inc. The format is using to store multiple records together with the various field categories grouped by type, which allows for search and queries efficiency with minimum loss of data.
