Malaysian Giant Petroleum Company will not involve with F1 next season after their partner, BMW made final decision to quit F1. BMW, the German car manufacturer will withdraw the from Formula 1 end of this season as saying "current developments in motorsport" for the reason. BMW is the second major company manufacturer quitting F1 after Honda left 8 months ago.
Petronas has made partnership with Sauber in F1 before BMW overtook the team in 2005 with Petronas still in it. But since they are not with the F1 race anymore, it will give big impact to Malaysia in term of motorsport development and branding.
