A Chinese old man (apek) came to my house this morning. He is old newspaper collector. All collected, about few kilos and generated extra income for my mom as a full time house wife.
How much she earned?
More than RM4.00 ++ but not more than RM5.00, probably enough for a plate of noodle and a cup of tea at mamak restaurant. Those old newspaper trade for RM 0.12 sen per kg. My mom also trade some aluminum can.
To be a millionaire just collecting old newspaper at home won't make you a millionaire, unless you create a big collection recycle center... The apek said the price is not good at the moment. I think it's not worth for me to entertain the collector, while I have much more interesting job (or to be done) online.
Anyway, there is more reasonable effort that can be done with your old newspaper. Since WWF are very busy with Earth Hour Campaign, there might be something that we can contribute against environment's global warming.
eHow got something that can be shared. Someone posted an entry about alternative way to reuse old newspaper. There were 8 of them , buy I like no 2 : Line the vegetable drawers in your fridge. Here again, the newspaper will absorb moisture from any old, forgotten vegetables while helping reduce any smells.
You can check the rest of it... Hmmm there is also a contest on eHow on April... try your luck!
good luck bro..
