When I was in UK, doing my study in architecture, one of my mate talked about it. I wonder how they made it? How easy to make fortune from this online 'thing'? I still didn't get it until I took my first step, bought used book at the car boot sales (GBP1.00), get it listed on auction for GBP 0.01. The result? It sold for GBP0.01 with 1 bidder- that cost me few more pounds to get it delivered...... Funny eh?
Start from there, I learned it by myself, with help from my friends about html code
, posting, hot items, and many more. Sometimes I get tips from articles on newspaper how they manage to do it full time, turn rubbish into money and so on.
Untill now (2008), I'm still sticked to eBay with more and more new competitor
registered and selling on eBay everyday. Who cares! as long as I stilll can compete and more items I get it listed - I'm not worried about them. For me, competition is everywhere. Either you do business online, or even offline. You can'tescape from competition. But what you can do is, do it better and highlight yourelf. Sells your reputation, sells your brand. Customer will comeback to you normally because of your service, not because of the products.
So think positive in whatever kind of business you are doing.
cheerio!
