Between eBay.com.my and Lelong.com.my

..It is 2.44am, but I'm still awake. Just packed 2 parcels for my Lelong customers. Thank to Allah coz I'm still breathing under the waves of slow world's economy activity.

Tomorrow I got to go to Bukit Gambir for the flee market.. as usual with tudung s. Sometimes I'm a bit rumbling with the conflict to stick just with online business.. but on the other hand, offline business is still not bad for me when parents are busy with the schools preparation and waiting for end of the month to get their salary. Still I can manage few ringgits for myself some sellers didn't get what they are expected. . Even my earning is not as much as before, at least I got my daily wages.

Back with online biz, Lelong has its own magnet for Malaysian, rather than eBay.com.my which is not popular yet. Most of my physical products bought through Lelong. eBay? hmm.. mostly are overseas buyer.

Honestly I prefer to eBay which is easier to manage, in term of relist item, end auction, confirm payment, sell similar item, sold item and many more. However, the demand push me to stick to Lelong. But to play safe and to spread over my products, almost similar listing can be found on my ebay.com.my and lelong.com.my.

Hope sellers out there can share how they manage with this situation as sometimes I stucked with 'wise decision' to save time or to get more exposure..

I'm tired.. got to sleep.

It's been a while...

... I didn't do any promotions for Muhasabah Collection's of tudung, abaya, kurta or even jubah on samdaddycool.blogspot.com. But still got some keywords related, driving trafic to this blog. Probably because of my effort of promoting tudung and hijab last time. If not mistaken, I have moved almost everything about business promotion or affiliate proggrames to muhasabah trading blog.

Anyway, in this post, I just want to thank Allah, for giving me a chance and opportunities to survive and stay alive just by selling tudung, jubah and batik.

Sometimes I talked to myself, I still can't believe how lucky I am as a businessman. Lucky, because I can manage my own time, working for my own. The speciality of becoming your own boss is the time. You have your own time. You don't stick to other's rules. You just follow your rules. You are the boss. You work more, you gain more.

I already involved with this kind of Muslimah clothing for more than a year, as a full time seller. So far, Alhamdulillah, I can survive, even sometimes I'm a bit struggling, especially with the attitude, 'jiwa kacau', and unpredictable weather. "Kalau takut dilambung ombak, usah berumah ditepi pantai", a quote from Malay phrase.

People asking, why you got degree but you didn't apply for an architect position? Why? This question is thrown to me, once in the while. My answer are varies... , ' I like to do busines', ' I want to be a millionaire', "I can't work under command", bla..bla.. bla.. but trust me, the main reason for me of doing this is.. I have the freedom, my own time. So it will be easy for me to spend the precious moment for "my family" (soon), and the special one - Adam Harith.

Self employement is not easy as I thought before. It is a very though task. Especially when you got debts - credit card, car loan and business loan. When you face with the slow trade activity, that's the time when you are dealing with stress. Honestly, I'm still in learning process to become a good businessman. Succesful is still far away from my grab. But for me, I have a believe. Confidence is the key of success.

Cooking oil vs Engine oil

10.30 am - Send my car, Proton Satria, 1.3i model, year of manufactured 1999
(standard engine without any modification).
I bought the Vesawit cooking oil (palm oil) which cost me -/+RM14.00.
Change the air filter, and the oil filter as well.
11.45am - Start my journey from Muar to Segamat.
2.30pm - Arrived at Segamat.
3.30pm - Leaving for Kuala Lumpur for my new tudung stock.
6.30pm - Left KL.
9.00pm - Dinner at Restoran Jejantas Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
11.00 pm - Home

It seems that the 'minyak masak kelapa sawit buatan Malaysia' didn't cause any problem to my car. Even when I get there, the impression on the mechanic's face is a bit shock. He only happy to fill into my engine after I said "I've done it before".

The guy I met at Segamat told me that my car's engine sounds smooth and quiet!

So, the palm cooking oil tested and proven for day one. No harm and bad thing happen to my the car so far. I will give another report, probably next time I change the cooking oil again, before start frying the kentucky fried chicken! :p

The usage of cooking oil for engine oil replacement is not new.It was reported in Kosmo and few peoples has already tested them with testemonials. Their experience can be shared in Rohaizad's blog.

Hopefully the oil palm usage as an alternative for synthetic engine oil will be an advantage for peneroka FELDA as minyak sawit's price already dropped in the commodity stock exchange market.

I like this photo. Even it is not a perfect picture of Adam Harith, the smile is beutiful... georgeous , (bak ka ta orang British..) Picture was taken on his 6th birthday , 3rd August 2008 at Muar. Next to him is Sofea (cousin).

I miss him. So much. I didn't see him since last raya puasa, after I sent him back to his mom. He is now in Terengganu, spending school holidays with the grandparents.

It is not easy for me to get strength sometimes, especially when I'm alone at home. That's why I still have to go out, selling tudung at pasar malam.When my life is busy meeting friends and customers, I can forget the pain, rather than staying home doing online business and stuffs online... Once in while, still the wound is bleeding.

It is pain in the ass.

Go.. goo.. goooo .. slow...

...Me work up late this morning, missed the Pasar Tani..again! What a waste! (time and income). Poor me, nobody laying next to me to wake me up.. (I need a princess!).

2008 is getting to the end. The online business (ebay) is slow.. slowing.. as it is quite late for pysical product get delivered just before christmas (for the gift). Anyway, my ofline business is getting better while others seems not happy for their sales.. (this is call business - sometimes you are on top, sometimes you go to the bottom).. + the school is opening and parents need to save some cash for the kids to start schooling again.

This is why I feel quite disappointed about my sleep.. (actually I went to bed @ 3am... don't blame me not to sleep, I'm dealing with 'jiwa kacau' ....sometimes). So what I should get this morning just gone.. (tak solat subuh tak menyesal!.. bad boy.. bad boy..).



Anyway, 2009 is showing up and again, everybody start talking about New Year Resolution (azam tahun baru).. Anything you want to achieve next year?

My way to KL, I saw....

I went to Kuala Lumpur by bus last Thursday.. As usual, it is a mission to get more new stock for my tudung. Normally I just take a bus to get to KL. This is the reason why I just go by bus:

Less expenses rather than a car..
The cost by bus will take only RM32.00 (return ticket) + another RM5.00++ for LRT and another RM20.00 for the food and cig, made up total of RM57.00. If by car, the petrol is about RM70.00 (return) + toll RM50 + and food+ cig, made up a total of RM140.00.

I can relaxing and enjoy the view.
I can eat, playing golf game inside my Camera phone, snap photo, reply messages

No stress over the traffic jam.
This is what I really hate about Kuala Lumpur. Traffic congestion almost all the time (especially during peak hours). That's the main reason reason for me not to drive in KL

Exercise..
Seems that walking is a good exercise. Burn some fat on my belly and stimulate my body as I'm no longer work out on my normal 'simple exercise' - 20 minutes a day.


When the bus stuck on the traffic (along Jalan Loke Yew - if I'm not mistaken, I saw numbers of wedding / bridal shop, which providing the service for wedding ceremony, plus all gown and suits for the bride.



As we know, school holidays is the most busy schedule for marriage. From the couples, to tok kadi, pejabat agama / registeration, wedding photographer and the mak andam. Even today, there were so many void area for the sellers (I went to parit Sulong for pasar pagi - flee market). Most of the sellers (even customer) are attending the wedding ceremony held, spread out the country.

So my single friends out there (especially the bachelors blogger), when is your turn to get married?

Kadang-kadang aku terfikir (melalui dialog dengan para pelanggan wanita), sesetengah mereka hanya memenuhi tuntutan memakai tudung disebabkan "semua orang pakai, aku kena pakai". Pelbagai jenis tudung terdapat dipasaran, ada banyak nama diwujudkan , khas bagi melariskan jualan. Trend terkini adalah menggunakan nama artis , seperti tudung Heliza, Sheila Rusly, Sarimah, Waheeda, Siti Nurhaliza, tudung Mawi dan yang terbaru, tudung Ekin. Tidak terkecuali celebriti lelaki juga menjadi mangsa seperti tudung Dr. Sheikh Muzaffar dan Dato' K.
