Batik Lukis (chanting)

Batik is a wax-resist dyeing technique used on textile. In Malaysia, batik produced in most 2 common style;

1. Chanting technique and
2. Cop (stamping).

Batik are produced in big scale at Terengganu and Kelantan, (located at east coast of Malaysia). The products are really amazing and fantastic! The art value spread on the piece of fabric is totally gorgeous and unbelieveable compare to the price.

Melted wax (Javanese: malam) is applied to cloth before being dipped in dye. It is common for people to use a mixture of beeswax and paraffin wax. The beeswax will hold to the fabric and the paraffin wax will allow cracking, which is a characteristic of batik. Wherever the wax has seeped through the fabric, the dye will not penetrate. Sometimes several colours are used, with a series of dyeing, drying and waxing steps.

Thin wax lines are made with a canting needle (or a tjanting tool), a wooden handled tool with a tiny metal cup with a tiny spout, out of which the wax seeps. Other methods of applying the wax onto the fabric include pouring the liquid wax, painting the wax on with a brush, and applying the hot wax to precarved wooden or metal wire block and stamping the fabric.

After the last dyeing, the fabric is hung up to dry. Then it is dipped in a solvent to dissolve the wax, or ironed between paper towels or newspapers to absorb the wax and reveal the deep rich colors and the fine crinkle lines that give batik its character. This traditional method of batik making is called Batik Tulis (lit: Written Batik).

The invention of the copper block or cap developed by the Javanese in the 20th century revolutionised batik production. It became possible to make high quality designs and intricate patterns much faster than one could possibly do by hand-painting. This method of using copper block to applied melted wax patern is called Batik Cap (pronounced like "chop").

Indonesian batik used for clothing normally has an intricate pattern. Traditionally, wider curves were reserved for batik produced for nobles. The traditional cloth has natural colors (tones of indigo and brown) while contemporary pieces have more variety of color.

Javanese batik typically includes symbols. Some pieces may be mystic-influenced, but very rarely used for clothing. Some may carry illustrations of animals.

Aku maafkan korang....

Sempena bulan kemerdekaan tahun 2008 ni, aku ada satu cerita titik mula perjalanan aku sebagai anak Muar (Muarian reborn) .

Ogos 2007 - aku balik kampung tahun lepas, dalam keadaan kepala dan poket kosong.... Dataran ledang menyaksikan aku mula berniaga offline menjual tudung, jubah dan batik ...

Alhamdulilah setelah hampir setahun aku berniaga sepenuh masa, hidup aku makin teratur, perjalanan aku dalam mengejar dunia, dan akhirat makin nampak jalannya. Title jutawan mungkin masih jauh lagi, tapi itu yang aku tekadkan untuk melepasi umur 35 tahun..

Pagi tadi, aku masuk bilik air, aku renung cermin... ada satu niat terdetik dalam hati aku... aku maafkan korang.. , aku redha dengan apa yang korang dah buat pada aku, pada Adam Harith. Aku nak tidur lena mulai malam ni. Aku nak hidup aku tenang. Aku taknak fikir yang dah lepas. Aku nak bina semula hala tuju aku...

Doa aku, aku nak bela Adam Harith.. aku nak jadi anak soleh. Hati aku selalu kosong bila teringatkan dia. Ntahlah Adam, please doa everyday ok! Doa what you've been thought by me.. I hope what you wish on the 5th birthday will become true.. Insyaallah
..

Esok aku nak gi Shah Alam, nak ambil dia sebab cuti sekolah dah start. So we can have fun together again...

Dahlah malas nak tulis lagi, cukuplah aku luahkan hati aku kat sini... This is really personal and I think it shouldn't be exposed. But who cares... this is my blog. I rule the post. When I keep thinking of others, sometimes they don't bother and they don't eppreciate.

Prinsip aku sekarang memang senang... share je dalam kepala tu.. kalo simpan pecah kepala buat apa..Aku dah cukup merasa dan menanggung stress lebih setahun... lebih-lebih lagi masa akhir 2007 hingga pertengahan 2008... Kadang-kadang macam nak pecah kepala..

berat masalah demo ni taukey.. kawe payoh nok tulong…

tu lah.. memang kalo setengah org akan gelakkan dengar rm40… tapi pada aku, money is money… even if we got rm1 but wasted for junk/ rubbish- totally different if donated to unfeed/ abandonded (betul ke aku eja nih?) child…

betul tak? dan cth - utk dapatkan rm40 bagi seorang newbie yang jobless… terlalu besar nilainya…

tapi kadang2 memang nasib mamat yg jual ebook ni tak bernasib baik..sudah jatuh ditimpa tangga…
aku sendiri pernah rasa situasi lebih kurang tangga ni… tahun lepas, selepas raya, aku berada dlm keadaan’broke’, biz bengkok, sampai tahap takde sesen dlm poket.. hutang keliling pinggang.. almost everything taken from me.. my house, my car, my boy… mmg pressure, stressed….

so mungkin mamat ni lagi teruk? so , aku rasa kalo kita ‘think twice+ rethink’ .. tunggu dan lihat je la.. sebab kita masih boleh bernafas, masih boleh makan, blogging, gurau senda, usha aweks, jalan2 carik pasal…….
